Hello everyone,
We have all just come back from the AGM and had a good result for the year. Martin was awarded 4th place in a very hotly contended Group 6. Bear in mind that he was up against some of the top tuning teams in the world and to get a 4th is a very good result so well done. I won the Group 8 championship and got awarded second overall in the sidecars even though technically we won it. Again Martin and I were up against some of the fastest scooter outfits that have ever been and got a few overall race wins against the next class up. As a club based race team we have done exceptionally well against the professional tuning shops.
We also say a farewell to a couple of team members who have decided to jump ship and join other teams for 2009. We wish Rich and Steve all the luck they deserve.
After this bit of sad news it is my intention to rename the team from Team Coventry Racing (TCR) to the AONSC Race Team which will mean bringing in a couple of new members to the club in order to have a race team that is exclusively AONSC members.
We look forward to the 2009 season and with engines being tuned beyond recognition for the coming season we will be a much stronger team for 2009.
